Your Amazon Area Manager Role
As an Area Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, directly responsible for leading a team of hourly associates. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining our high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Job Title: Area Manager
Location: Maspeth, NY
Salary: $61,400 – $100,000 per year (compensation varies based on geographic location and experience)
Key Responsibilities & Main Tasks
You will support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve daily goals.
You must manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
A key part of your role is to collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources.
This role is hands-on and requires physical activity, including lifting up to 49 pounds, pushing, pulling, squatting, and reaching.
You will be on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift in a variable environment that may include loud noises and temperature fluctuations.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in employee and performance management.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, OR 2+ years of experience as an Amazon blue badge/FTE associate.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
